Well, after many long hours spent at the computer, and much deep deliberation, the wedding registry is finally finished. I've basically decorated the whole house in my head, and it's beautiful.
I thought about physically going to the store, and using the scan guns, and just shooting everything in the store, and then thought that maybe it wouldn't be so fun for Jeremie to do that. So, instead I opted to take care of the whole thing online. I started out by deciding what colors I want, and then what themes would look good, then just going to town. You know that the checklist that's provided is like five pages long and includes everything from a Comforter Ensemble, which I did register for, to a pair of ice tongs, which I didn't register for. But don't confuse the ice tongs with the salad tongs, and the barbeque tongs, and the tong set, and the fryer tongs. I think that you get the drift.
Of course with the completion of the registry, it just brings us one step closer to the big day and the "I do's".

So, I'm told that married people have blogs, and that I need to have one. Thanks to Caroline, everyone can be all up in our business. But it's all good. I've never really felt that I had a spectacular writing ability, however, I'm sure that someone will care about what I have to say. :) Just some quick updates then for our first official blog. We are settling into our "almost" married life, quite well. While the time frames and things haven't really prevented me from gaining employment, we felt that it would be better to wait until after the wedding to start bringing in an income. Since Jeremie works 24 hours at a time, I spend most of my time keeping my house pretty. I feel that we are quite fortunate that we get to spend a lot of time together because of his work schedule, and I guess that I can give up some overnight's here and there to have him with me most of the time.
Since my arrival, we have moved the "office" furniture twice, the living room furniture twice, and the guest bedroom furniture more than I can count. I've repainted the guest room a stunning red with black accents, and Edward is hanging on the wall. I've picked out most of the paint for the rest of the house, and just really want to accessorize. I guess you can accessorize a house.
Hurley seems to be falling into a good routine. He's lonely I think and misses his best friend, but the neighbor dog seems to be helping with his loneliness. He's still as spoiled as ever, and has officially adopted Jeremie as his new favorite person. I'm just the lady with the food. He spends most of the day perched on the back of the couch, or easy chair looking out the window, and getting into everyone's business.
So, I think that will conclude my first official blog. I'll make sure to keep updating for all of my rapt audience. Til' then adieu.
